Oh Yeah Studio

ohyeahstudio00

Big fan of Oh Yeah Studio‘s work. Lots of drippy goodness, sophistication, illustration and some black and white awesome. Oh Yeah Studio is a Norwegian multi-disciplinary studio and they’ve got some great work slightly reminisent of Non-Format. Seems to be a trend these days but these guys (guy?) does it well.

John Paul Thurlow

I came across these beautiful pencil drawings by John Paul Thurlow on The Import. Something about the unfinished / finished-ness of them that I really like. These are covers he took from popular magazines and redrew by hand. Soo good.

Node

node00

I’ve been in love with Node for a while now and I’m taking the chance to declare it right here on this zine. NODE is a Berlin and Oslo based graphic design studio, founded in 2003 by Anders Hofgaard and Serge Rompza. In 2006, Vladimir Llovet Casademont joined the office in Berlin. The Oslo office was established in 2010, with...

Nicolas Girard

Nicolas Girard is a designer and motionographer living in Toronto Canada. I was very much into his type work and his very high contrast color palette. Lots of drips and such but why not.

Paul Tebbott

Paul_Tebbott_00

First time I’ve posted about Paul Tebbott on this site but I’ve admired his work many a time before. His site seems to be down but you can check out some of his work on Fubiz.net. Simplicity, clarity and clear messaging kills me every time and Paul seems to be able to pull this off with impeccable execution. A very...

Skinny Ships

skinny_ships_00

Wow. I can't even begin to say enough great things about Skinny Ships, aka designer, typographer and illustrator, Richard Perez. Great use of texture, color, composition and shape. I'm really into his more abstract stuff as well as his type driven compositions. Richard's site seems to be on hiatus but check out his work on Flickr. He's prolific and it's kind of scary how much awesome this guy is turning out.

Chris Thornley

Chris_Thornley_00

I came across Chris Thornley while pursuing Flickr. He’s got some great conceptual work that is executed simply and beautiful and he’s also got a variety of styles from which to draw from which always impresses me. Chris has also started a firm called Soure Creative at which he serves as the director. Great and consistent work. I especially love...

Reggae Weekend

truth_and_rights

Well, I spent the weekend sick in bed and jacked into my ipod. Despite being ill, this scenario was not as bad as it could have been. In desperate need of some some happy music, my finger manipulated the search functions to locate some classic “Feel Good Reggae”. One gallon of orange juice later and feeling much better (thank you...
