More great work coming out of Austin (I’m assuming). Renee Fernandez has some clever / fun work she’s done for a handful of bands and she sells the posters she’s done as well. I especially like her poster for the Mates of State and the beer packaging she did for her friends at another great studio, The Decoder Ring.

Dimo Trifonov is an extremely talented Bulgarian designer. So talented in fact that I can’t quite get over his abilities. Consistently sophisticated and well thought out work in his portfolio and I have the utmost respect for a designer that can pull off both simple and complex in an interesting way. Keep your eye on this guy.

Anthony Dart is a South African graphic artist and he’s good. I’m really liking his Euro style and I could see this guy working at Attik. Great compositions, good use of grid and he knows how to use type. Sophisticated stuff.

Came across this great album design project by Lasse Høgh for the Aarhus-based record label City Hall Music. The release is distributed by Playground Music. Elektronisk Tirsdag features two discs and 27 tracks copiling some of the best Danish electronic music, with an overweight of dubstep in 2009. Love the typeface he developed and the minimal stylings.

Recently came across the work of illustrator Alberto Cerriteño Cerriteno via Grain Edit. Whacky style and I love the color pallette he’s constantly drawing from. He’s a Mexican illustrator & designer who has lived in Portland for nearly four years now. He says he’s “strongly inspired by urban vinyl toys, alternative cartoons, and the pop surrealism movement.” Great work.
