For a long while we’ve been in love with the work of Alex Varanese, a Bay Area native who “thinks john hughes is bigger than jesus.” His work has been making the rounds on the interweb for quite some time now and is known for his textured retro look, great use of 3D tools in his compositions, and for using tons and TONS of Red, Brown, and Orange… Looks good. Shown here is a recent series he did re-imagining four common products from 2010 as if they were designed in 1977: an mp3 player, a laptop, a mobile phone and a handheld video game system.
